Lily Pons《莉麗·龐斯 的歌唱藝術》The Art of Lily Pons 1930-1940

莉麗‧龐斯最早的錄音是在Odeon公司(1928-1929)，從1930年以後轉到HMV。這張
RCA-Camden唱片錄的是她剛剛進入大都會歌劇院那段時期的演唱。早期的錄音都很短，
因為那時的78轉唱片容量較小，一張十寸盤只能轉幾分鐘，而且底嘈音十分強烈。

這是另一個莉麗‧龐斯的單張唱片，莫劄特部分與唱片之三錄音重複，由於上一張唱片
發行年代較遠，所以這張唱片的音效比那張品相不太理想的首版明顯好了很多。其中的
馬賽曲由魯熱‧德‧利爾作於1792年4月24日深夜 ，因同年七月在馬賽的法軍向巴黎進
軍時曾唱這首歌而聞名。柏遼茲曾把它改編成帶女高音獨唱，男中音獨唱以及合唱，童
聲合唱的管弦樂曲。

這是哥倫比亞唱片公司一張挺出名的莉麗‧龐斯歌劇選曲唱片，六十年代初的首版是個
單聲道唱片，到七十年代重版的假身歷聲(Electronically Re-Channeled for Stereo)
音效好了許多，諸君可比較曲三和曲十三。但我本人因收藏之怪癖一向偏愛Early Version，
在我眼中早期版本 (即使是單聲道) 永遠比之後重版的再版的有價值。

這套黑膠其實是個錄音拼湊版，是從莉麗‧龐斯歷年在COLUMBIA錄製的曲目中挑選而成
的。三張黑膠共六面，我轉制時錄成了兩張CD。
這三張黑膠共三十三段樂曲中的大部分曾由SONY公司在1998年“Masterworks-HERITAGE”
系列中以同名雙CD版發行。該錄有三十四段樂曲的CD版三年半前又由Ivmaoqiu在VC上發
布，我對照了一下，重複的有19段。黑膠版樂曲沒收入該CD的有11段，CD版中有14段在
此黑膠版中沒有出現，但其中五段在我以上幾個黑膠唱片已有發佈。
這套黑膠收入了莉麗‧龐斯1941 – 1957年許多著名的歌劇選段，其中有四首曲目與我
上面一張唱片重複。這些眾多的唱段應屬她的精品，其中包括唐尼采蒂拉美莫爾的露契
亞 的“我聽到了他那柔美的聲音”，威爾第 茶花女 中維奧萊塔的著名唱段，弄臣 中
“可愛的名字”等，尤其珍貴的還有拉赫瑪尼諾夫三段歌曲，包括那首美妙的“無詞歌”
。

Lily Pons《施特勞斯 歌劇“蝙蝠”(英文演唱)》Johann Strauss: Die Fledermaus

在國外演出歌劇不用原文而改唱英文等其他語言的很少見。我在兩年前發佈過一個斯托
科夫斯基指揮貝多芬第九交響曲的錄音，其第四樂章也改用英文演唱，怎麼聽都不順耳。
我幾個月前買了一張長野健(Kent Nagano) 八十年代指揮斯特拉文斯基“士兵的故事”
黑膠唱片，居然也是個翻譯作品，聽得渾身發癢。這個由奧曼迪指揮紐約大都會歌劇院
的“蝙蝠”英文DVD版演出本好像是有刪節的，我手上另外幾個“蝙蝠”的版本都是三張黑
膠，而這個只有兩張黑膠唱片。該劇中“藍色多瑙河”的曲調想必是多數樂友所熟悉的。

Lily Pons《唐尼采蒂 歌劇“拉美莫爾的露契亞”》Donizetti Lucia di Lammermoor

我開始知道“拉美莫爾的露契亞”這個歌劇是源自在七十年代末期聽的帕瓦羅蒂與薩瑟
蘭演唱的一卷錄音磁帶，儘管當時聽到的只是其中一首選曲(第一幕結尾的著名二重唱)，
但我實在是從此深深愛上了這個歌劇和他的作者唐尼采蒂。 這張《薩瑟蘭和帕瓦羅蒂》
唱片我曾在三年前發佈於VeryCD。在大陸的早些時候，聽的都只是一些選曲選段，等聽
的歌劇經驗多了些，才知道聽歌劇必須聽全劇。

莉麗‧龐斯演出全劇歌劇的錄音只有這個“拉美莫爾的露契亞”(1954) 和上面的“蝙
蝠”(1950) 這兩部歌劇。而這個“拉美莫爾的露契亞” 又是莉麗‧龐斯的成名劇目，
她於一九三一年一月三日在紐約大都會歌劇院以演唱唐尼采蒂歌劇“拉美莫爾的露契亞”
的露契亞而一夜成名。此外這個曲目又引出一個傳聞，據說有一位小孩在聽廣播莉麗‧龐斯
唱“拉美莫爾的露契亞”時講了句“她走調了”，這句傳言至今不散是因為那個小孩日
後成為了世上最著名的女高音，她的名字就是卡拉斯。卡拉斯是否真講過這句話但卻不
說，凡是經常聽現場音樂會演出的大概都有聽到唱走調和拉走音的經驗，就是有些大師
在現場錄音的唱片中也有這種情況 (當代的現場錄音CD是另當別論)， 而這個私人場合
的一句話是發生在聽現場廣播的狀況下，所以這不管是真是假根本不足為奇，看來只是
那些傳記作者的獵奇和炒作而已。那個小孩的卡拉斯1923年生於紐約，14歲時父母離異
她隨母回希臘是在1937年，那時莉麗‧龐斯已在紐約大都會歌劇院演出了七年，如果這
個傳說當真也就是在這七年間。

以上兩部歌劇的男主角Richard Tucker 塔克(1914-1975) 是美國本土出身的歌唱演員，
從一九四五年在紐約大都會歌劇院首次演出後即成為大都會歌劇院唱義大利和法國歌劇
的主要男演員，1947年與卡拉斯在義大利同台演出，還參加過托斯卡尼尼的音樂會歌劇
演出，被譽為自吉裏(Gigli) 以後大都會歌劇院最漂亮的男高音，是美國樂迷的偶像。
